Last we looked at Ultimaker’s offerings, 316L SS was the only metal filament printable. Either we misunderstood or things have changed but the metallic filament offerings have expanded greatly for the Ultimaker S series of printers…such that we are in the process of cutting a PO for the S5 Pro bundle. The metals will be trickier than the plastics and require some effort to fine tune. Plus there will be longer lead times with the prerequisite sintering of “green” parts. But with local support, metal and ceramic options, material handling bay, and more we would be crazy to turn it down. Well, crazier…
